Dear Parents:

Beginnings are important. In 1971 a group of churches joined together with a vision to build a school that would make a difference in our community and beyond by offering quality Christian education through caring and qualified teachers. Today, we are beginning anew.
On July 14, we were excited to be called as the new full-time administrative team of Deep Valley Christian School. I will be serving as your Executive Administrator working closely with our School board to ensure the school is fulfilling its spiritual and educational mission to bring out God's best in each and every student from our preschoolers to our graduates. My wife, Deb, will be serving as Academic Coordinator responsible to oversee our curriculum and instruction to ensure that each student will be growing academically to achieve to his/her fullest potential and that our Deep Valley students will be well-prepared for the future. Deb is also pleased to be a member of our great teaching team for 2009/2010.
We are looking forward to getting to know you and your families in the coming weeks. We love kids and have been working together in Christian education for more than 25 years. I am an ordained Pastor with a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel University and my background includes overseeing the growing Children's Ministry of a large church for nine years, teaching language Arts to grade school children and youth at six community colleges, serving as Executive (Administrative) Pastor of a rapidly growing church in Fresno, California, and serving as Lead Pastor of a church filled with young families.
Deb is a straight "A" summa cum laude graduate of Pepperdine University and has enjoyed teaching in Christian schools, being a professional curriculum designer, and serving as executive Director for an innovative educational program for Kindergartners through 12th graders offered through the community College system in Southern California. We are blessed to be here and are committed to standing with you in your spiritual responsibility as parents to educate your children for life and leadership in the 21s century and to God's glory for all eternity.
We would like to invite you to come to an informational meeting on August 4 at 7:30 pm, in the Deep Valley gymnasium to find out more about our leadership team's vision for Deep Valley Christian School, our plans for the upcoming school year, and to hear how God has been working to build on the traditions of our past to bring about this new beginning for His great school.
