FEE & PAYMENT POLICIES

  1. An annual re-enrollment fee of $100 per family is required by May 29 to reserve a place in the school. For new families or families that fail to re-enroll by May 29, a registration fee of $150 is required. The registration fee is non-refundable. (SPECIAL-All families registering before May 15 pay only $50)
  2. An annual non-refundable SCRIP fee $75 per family will be charged in July; Families enrolling after July pay the SCRIP fee with their registration fee. donation of $75 per family will be charged in July.
  3. Payment received after the 10th of the month it is due will incur a $40.00 late fee. Students are not allowed to return to school if payment for the preceding month is still unpaid.
  4. Checks returned from closed accounts or non-sufficient funds will incur a $50 charge. A second occurrence of a check returned for NSF will require transactions with cash, money orders, or cashier's check.
  5. There are Parent Involvement Hours (PIH) required of 30 hours per family per school year (10 hours required in School Fundraising activities). At the end of the year a fee of $18 per hour for unfulfilled PIH will be charged.
  6. If a family must leave DVCS, they will receive credit for paid tuition on a prorated basis. If the family has failed to complete its PIH, a pro-rated fee will be charged.
  7. Additional fees (athletics, PE uniforms, damaged or lost property, etc) may be assessed.

SCHOLARSHIP & TUITION REDUCTIONS

  1. 1. Families with more than one student at DVCS receive tuition reductions according to the following scale.

            *    Families with two students receive 10% reduction in total tuition.
           *    Families with three students receive 20% reduction in total tuition.
            *    Families with four or more students receive 30% reduction in total tuition.

  1. Families that are active in and regularly attend supporting churches (represented on the DVCS Board may receive 5% tuition reduction (A letter is required from the church).
  2. Children of full-time pastors in Lake or Mendocino counties receive a 75% tuition reduction; grandchildren of full-time pastors in Lake or Mendocino counties receive 25% tuition reduction.
  3. Families making payment in full by September 1 will receive a 2% tuition reduction.
  4. Families may request a "Board Scholarship". The school Board may allow additional reduction in tuition based upon emergency need if there are sufficient donations to the Board Scholarship account to fund the request.
