The Scrip program...
The Scrip program is a fundraising program that benefits DVCS as well as you!
Scrip are gift cards which you can purchase in the school bookkeeping office, and at Moir's Pool & Patio in Ukiah. As each family purchases the gift cards or "scrip" from DVCS for their usual grocery, gas or merchandise expenses, the purchase provides income for the school. Also, our school board has allowed the school to return a portion (1%-4%) of this profit as a credit towards your tuition. We carry in stock numerous merchants such as Safeway, Food Maxx, Lucky's, Redwood Valley Market, Wal-Mart, Long's, Chevron, Staples, JC Penney, Star's, Carl's Jr., Starbuck's, Big 5, Home Depot, Blockbuster, Regal Cinema (Ukiah Theater), and many more. Additionally, there is an extensive list of other merchants.
Beginning September 1st, we will be signed up with www.shopwithscrip.com an internet program that allows you to order scrip from your computer. You can bring the payment to bookkeeping office or you can sign up on the website for PrestoPay. The payments are then debited directly from your account. (They charge a .39 cent transaction fee). Please call bookkeeping with any questions.
Each family is required to pay a $75 Scrip fee that is charged with the first tuition payment in August. this fee is not a Scrip purchase, but a tax deductible donation in support of scrip. By making use of the scrip program you can earn back this fee, decrease your tuition, and help support the school.
E-SCRIP...
Safeway as well as other merchants participate in the E-Scrip program which allows your purchases to be tracked electronically and reported to DVCS in a monthly statement, along with a donation from the merchant. These purchase earn a 1% tuition credit. You may register your Safeway card and well as your debit, credit, and other merchant cards by going online at www.escrip.com or by coming into the bookkeeping office. E-Scrip retains a portion of the profit as a monthly fee. If you choose to register yourself, you will need the school's group number. Raley's...
Raley's tracks your purchases also, through their own Quality of Life card, which may be obtained in the bookkeeping office. Your tuition credit is posted to your account each quarter. Also Raley's gift cards are available, sales benefit DVCS.
Food Maxx/Lucky SHARES Program...
Please pick up a free SHARES card in the bookkeeping office. Each time you purchase groceries and swipe your card earns the school a 3% donation.
The Power of Family & Friends...
Scrip is an important part of the DVCS budget. We encourage you to ask your family, friends, co-workers and others to sign up with Safeway, Raley's and other merchants, and also to make purchases of scrip when possible. You will need to inform the bookkeeping office of any additional names so that the benefit is credited to your account.
