Deep Valley Christian School Scrip Program
The Scrip program is a fundraising program that benefits everyone who participates!
Scrip is a term which means “substitute money”. When you buy scrip you are purchasing gift cards that are used just like cash for purchases that you would normally make anyway from local and national merchants. You can order the gift cards in the school Bookkeeping Office or from home on your internet- connected computer. The school has an account with Great Lakes Scrip Center. A variety of gift cards are available to purchase at a discounted price of 1% to 15%. When families purchase the gift cards, or "scrip", at full face value through DVCS, the school makes a profit from the sale which provides income for the school. The DVC School Board has also allowed a portion of this profit as a form of scholarship assistance which can result in reduced tuition from $5 to $150 per month based on participation. An application for tuition credit is available in the Bookkeeping Office. Each time you purchase scrip you will receive a green, white, and/or pink receipt which must be turned in to bookkeeping to receive tuition credit. Scrip gift cards and certificates can earn you a 1%, 2% or 4% tuition credit, depending on which gift cards you purchase. (See the list on back).
SCHOOL SCRIP REQUIREMENT
All families are expected to use our Scrip Program and become acquainted with it and the benefits. Scrip is the largest fundraiser at DVCS and helps keep tuition costs down. Scrip participation is not mandatory, however each family is required to pay an annual $75.00 Scrip Fee which will be charged in July. (Preschool families will be charged in August). This fee is not a scrip purchase, but is a fee which helps to support the program. During school vacations Scrip orders can be placed in Bookkeeping or purchased on-line from your home computer.
ShopWithScrip.com & PrestoPay
The Great Lakes Scrip Center offers a convenient way for you to place your scrip order with DVCS on-line from any internet connected computer. DVCS is enrolled and ready to use this popular means of ordering gift cards for the hundreds of local and national merchants which you can choose from by going to www.ShopWithScrip.com. Just type in our enrollment code: 91D72L1911444. Click on the gift cards you want to order and make your payment after signing up your debit card with PrestoPay (.39 will be charged for each transaction). You may also send a check to the Bookkeeping Office. The order will be released upon receipt of your payment. Orders should be available for pick up in bookkeeping within 3 to 5 days following placement.
E-SCRIP
Safeway joined with eScrip in 1997 to enhance their “Give Back to School’s Program”. Each year DVCS receives thousands of dollars from Safeway, with the help of eScrip, based on the amount of your grocery purchases. These are tracked electronically with the use of your Safeway Club Card and are reported by eScrip each month to DVCS. The school receives a monthly donation of 1% to 4% of your purchases from Safeway. Other merchants also donate to schools through eScrip (see list online), and some donate a higher percentage. To sign up you must register your Safeway Club Card on-line at www.escrip.com, using the school group number: 136925645. You may also contact the Bookkeeping Office for assistance in signing up. Families can extend their eScrip fundraising to other participating retailers by adding debit and credit cards to their eScrip account. You have unlimited possibilities with this program as family members or friends may also participate with you.
Food Maxx/Lucky Stores S.H.A.R.E.S Program Raley’s Quality of Life Program
Please pick up a free S.H.A.R.E.S. Card or a Quality of Life Card from the Bookkeeping Office. One swipe of the card each time you shop at these stores will earn the school a 1% to 3% donation. This program does not track your purchases for tuition credit but this financial support for the school is greatly appreciated. Please encourage your family and friends to help the school in this way.

Merchant participation and the amount they discount are subject to change without notice.
