Name: Mrs. Jenelle Conley
Title: Administrative Assistant/ School Registrar


Jenelle Conley grew up in Santa Rosa, where she met her husband Nick in 2010. In 2016 they felt called by God to help plant a church in Willits, bringing them to Mendocino County. Jenelle’s background includes various jobs from business office management to administrative work at her church, but she is most proud of her job as a mother to her three kids, all of whom attend Deep Valley Christian.


Name: Mrs. Mary Irwin Kilpatrick
Title: Administrator


Mary was a teacher of faith-based curriculum to students in various grades for 12 years and a Children’s Education Director and VBS Director in her church. She also worked in administration for the Davis Joint Unified School District. More recently Mary has been an administrator at UC Davis for 14 years, which included being the Manager of Hematology and Oncology at UC Davis Health from 2012-2021.

Mary’s desire is to equip students to serve the purposes of God in their generation. This includes excellence in education, with appropriate scope and sequence to prepare students to succeed academically. She delights in encouraging children to know the God who loves them and who has a plan for their life. Mary is excited to partner with the creative and dedicated teachers and staff at DVCS who invest their lives daily for God’s glory.


Name: Mrs. AnaMaria Segura
Title: Preschool Teacher


AnaMaria has many years of experience working with preschoolers. Her energy and love for God and her students makes her a wonderful asset in our preschool program.


Name: Ms. Dasha Kilpatrick
Title: Preschool Teacher


Dasha knew from a young age that she wanted to be a teacher, and she obtained her AA in Early Childhood Education from Solano Community College. She has always loved working with kids of all ages.

Before moving to Ukiah, Dasha was involved in ministries at Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville. She worked with kids from two years old and was a youth leader for students from middle school to high school. Since she was sixteen, she has been involved with Children’s ministry and Student ministry. Her biggest passion is teaching others about God, especially children and teens, and showing them how amazing He is.

Her life verse is Hebrews 13:5, “God has said I will never leave you; nor will I forsake you.” It reminds her that God is always there no matter what, and that is what she strives to teach others.

Her new home church is New Life Community Church. She can’t wait to see all the possibilities that God has for her in this new chapter of her life.

Dasha is looking forward to teaching your little ones through music, dance, play, art, and so many more fun things. Her passion is making learning fun for kids, so they love school and want to come every day.

Name: Mrs. Kim Odneal
Title: Junior Kindergarten Teacher


Kim is a Sonoma County native. She graduated from Healdsburg High School in 1981. After high school she attended Santa Rosa Junior College. She received her AS degree in early childhood education in Mendocino College. She also worked in the medical field for many years as a nurse's aide and worked for family practice offices doing medical billing.

Kim, her husband Ron, and 9-month old daughter Breanna moved to Potter Valley in 1993. It was their desire to raise their children in a small-town atmosphere. Their son, Christopher was born 4 years later. Kim taught Sunday school for many years in their Potter Valley church and in Ukiah. Kim and her husband have been involved in the Potter Valley School and community activities for many years.

Kim worked at a Christian preschool in Ukiah for 5 years as a lead teacher. She then became the Director while still serving as a lead teacher for 11 years.

She is passionate about giving her students a good foundation in Christ and a love of learning for their future. She is dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every student.

Teaching and loving students and their families is her true passion. She is delighted to be on staff at Deep Valley Christian School as the Junior Kindergarten Teacher.

Name: Mrs. Julie Davidson
Title: Kindergarten Teacher


Julie, her husband, and two young children moved to Willits in 2016. She has her degree in Arts and Humanities as well as Early Childhood Education. Julie taught preschool after college before her children were born, and for a couple of years at Deep Valley once her children were school age. Julie was very excited to move into teaching Kindergarten in 2020 as teaching this grade combines creativity, imagination, and fun with academics.

Julie is very passionate about teaching children academics and about God's great love for them. She loves to be creative, interactive, and have fun in the classroom while teaching. She always desires to create a classroom environment that feels more like a family than a class, having seen year after year that students learn more easily when they are encouraged and positively supported.

She has a great passion for music and loves to find creative ways to use it in the Kindergarten classroom. Julie is also actively involved in ministry at Agape Bible Church as the Women's Ministry Coordinator and Worship Team vocalist/guitarist.


Name: Mrs. Kim Garroutte
Title: 1st Grade Teacher


Kim Garroutte is a native to Ukiah and can't imagine living anywhere else. She is the proud wife of Shane, mother of four adult children (three happily married), along with a young son attending DVCS. Her newest blessings are her two beautiful grandchildren. She attends New Life Community Church and is heavily involved in ministry for her local church and community.

She attended Mendocino Community College and received an Associate's Degree in Liberal Studies with an Emphasis on Education. Her Bachelor's Degree is also in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University, graduating summa cum laude.

Kim was convicted about Christian education when her children were young. Raising and home educating a special needs child gives her a special skill set. Kim has worked for DVCS in various capacities for well over a decade. She has served as the Homeschool Coordinator, a substitute teacher, completed an internship, and as an aide. She has been teaching first grade at Deep Valley since 2019. She homeschoooled her own children for twenty years. She has served on the local Christian homeschoool support group's Leadership council, as well as previously at the state level. She has spoken at homeschool conventions state-wide. Along with teaching her own children, Mrs. Garroutte has taught in co-ops, in the AWANA program at her church, children's church, and many women's Bible studies. Kim additionally taught water fitness at a local establishment for over five years.

She is passionate about community involvement; having served on the local soccer board, baseball program, and various other organizations. However, her heart truly lies with supporting her local church and local Christian ministries such as Deep Valley Christian School, The Center for Life Choices, and The Center for Hope (homeless ministry). Being her authentic self, able to share the mercy that our Savior has showed us, is what drives her passion for these local, non-denominational ministries.


Name: Mrs. Melissa Gowan
Title: 2nd Grade Teacher


Melissa attended Humboldt State University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies Elementary Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Humboldt State University. She also has her Master’s Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

She graduated from Humboldt State University and began her first teaching job. Melissa was thrilled to teach 2nd graders in Laytonville for several years. She then resigned and became a full-time mom. Melissa returned to the 2nd grade classroom at Deep Valley Christian School in 2021.

Melissa is energetic, knowledgeable, and hard-working. She loves reading and shares that joy with her students. In addition to teaching academics, she is looking forward to being able to include teaching from the Bible; ensuring a solid foundation of faith, empathy, and love. Our children need to understand the importance of God and having Christ as their Savior. Melissa is honored to be a part of the Deep Valley Christian School team.


Name: Mrs. Cheri Beuving Tussey
Title: 3rd Grade Teacher


Cheri Tussey was born and raised in Redwood Valley. She attended Deep Valley from Kindergarten through 12th grade and was in the first high school graduating class in 1998.

After high school she attended Simpson University, UNCW Wilmington, and finally earned her BA in Liberal Studies from the University of Massachusetts- Boston.

Since then she has used her love of teaching to educate her own five children, two of whom currently attend Deep Valley. She also teaches and directs the Cubbies program and the Fellowship Ministry at Redwood Valley Community Church. Cheri has always dreamed of teaching at Deep Valley and so is delighted to be on staff since Fall 2018 doing what she loves at the school that is so dear to her heart!


Name: Mrs. Tiffany Perry
Title: 4th Grade Teacher


Tiffany is enjoying living in Mendocino County after residing in Santa Rosa for most of her life. She grew up in the countryside and is grateful she and her husband have the opportunity to raise their four children in the beautiful Ukiah Valley.

After graduating from Ursuline High School Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science in Child & Adolescent Psychology at Saint Mary’s College with a Minor in Montessori Thought. She then attended Sonoma State University for her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

Tiffany has worked as a substitute teacher in preschool through sixth grades, taught preschool and second grade and most recently served as a preschool director for several years. She is excited to return to the classroom and especially anticipating teaching fourth grade.

Tiffany and her husband had been active in the same church for over twenty years prior to moving to Ukiah in 2021. Their family now enjoys participating in events, supporting ministry opportunities and worshipping at The River church in Ukiah.

Tiffany’s family loves to camp and travel and she hopes to go to further places with her children. Her experiences include travel abroad to Italy, Japan and Tanzania as well as domestic travel around the United States.

Tiffany is looking forward to how God will use her for His glory in the Deep Valley community.


Name: Miss Luayne Wright
Title: teacher of 5th & 6th grade


Luayne was born and raised in Ukiah in a family full of teachers. She is very excited to be the upper elementary teacher of 4-6th grades. She has a natural love of science and incorporates this energy to students in second through sixth grades for their science elective. She has coordinated science fairs in the past for the Mendocino County Science Fair

Luayne received her Bachelor's degree from UC Davis, her Masters from CSU Sacramento and her multiple-subjects teaching credential from Dominican. She says she was blessed to raise three high-energy, lovely children - who are now launched into adulthood!

Her 20+ years of teaching experience includes teaching pre-school and Kindergarten at New Life Pre-School in Ukiah, teaching Kindergarten at Deep Valley Christian School, K-1 LaVida Charter School and being the grades 4-6 Aide at Tree of Life Charter School. She also taught four years of junior high and high school science at DVCS.

She is passionately convinced of the necessity of a Christian education based on a firm foundation in Scripture and the need to help our children develop a Biblical worldview with hearts sensitive to the Lord. She is excited to be part of Deep Valley’s expansion and growth.


Name: Mrs. Kelsey Rose
Title: Music/Art Teacher


Kelsey Rose is a Willits native and graduated from Willits High School. She began her college education at Mendocino College. She had a fervent desire to complete her education at a Christian institution and she transferred to Simpson University where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance.

In addition to her love for music, her passions include art, nature and being with friends and family. She loves the Lord and treasures her two sons. She feels it is a special privilege to guide, educate and love the students at DVCS.


Name: Mr. Daniel Walker
Title: PE Teacher


Daniel is our PE teacher for Kindergarten-6th grade. He is a dad of 2 students who attend DVCS. He is passionate about fitness and all of the benefits of physical exercise which leads to good physical and mental health. He is excited to be joining the DVCS family.
